INFO Time Based Endeavors
This floor-work based training is reflecting the techniques and practices my body has passed through and remained attentive to with inspiration from e.g. peers of my generation like Bruno Caverna, recent work as a dancer with Alexander Gottfarb as well as own explorations of loops and choreographic clues. Focusing on the distribution of gravity between the floor and which places in and outside the body we chose to give attention, movement sequences are scrolled, scratched and negotiated in time. The training is a physically strengthening class that prepares you for rehearsals. The training at the same time aims to give you a meta cognitive ride for stretching, bending and creatively misusing your habits and memory. Nerdy exploration of how you want to attend movement and how you want to approach learning is welcome!
BIO Charlotta Ruth works inside choreography, game designand arts based research. Her work has e.g. been presented at MDT & Dansens Hus Stockholm, Tanzquartier, WUK & Brut Vienna. Charlotta works as a dancer since 1997 and increasingly as a guest researcher, mentor and teacher e.g. at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, DOCH Stockholm University of the Arts,ZHDK Switzerland.Charlotta is educated at Luleå Rytmik & Balettförening, the Royal Swedish Ballet School, DOCH Uniarts Sweden and is a PhD-student in Artistic Research at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
INFO Waterfalls and Meteorites “This workshop will be a study in forces. We will trigger ourselves to witness and mould how our bodies take up, or don’t take up, space in this world. We will study the body as a mediator and dancing as a mediating practise. We will become bodies of multitude and of constant becoming. The worksop will include stuff like bitchcrafting, translating stones, prophetic dancing and practises of porosity.”
BIO Eliisa Erävalo is a Finnish choreographer and dancer based in Stockholm. Eliisa has a long history of work both as a solo artist and in different kind of collaborations around Europe and in Sweden. She always explores and works with the concept of "Support" in her different tasks. Eliisas choreographic work contains two "clouds". She has a deep interest in making art in public spaces and has created a work series of interventions on streets. She does this work alone. It is a part of her research in the idea of a porous body and the experience of intuition. Mostly Eliisa works in collaborations and with dance. One of her focuses there is to further intersectional feminism and a non-binary society. The work Eliisa has lately been doing elaborates different concept pairs as outside-inside, technology-nature, materia-spirit and winner-loser. She wants to understand how we build togetherness and form strategies in life. Even in that she wants to create space and focus attention to that which we cannot put into words. www.eliisaeravalo.se
